Fees & Funding

Our pre-school sessions are charged at £5.25 per hour for 3 and 4 year old and £5.50 for 2 year olds. For information on free funded hours you can receive for you child, please see the information below.

Government funding

For information on funding please click on the appropriate section below:

15 hours (applicable to all 3 to 4 year olds)

All 3 to 4-year-olds in England can get 15 free hours per week equating to 570 free hours per year. Any hours over 15 hours a week will be charged at £5.25 per hour unless you have additional funding – see below

Children automatically qualify for this funding from the term following their third birthday.

30 hours (applicable to carers working over 16 hours per week)

Some children may be eligible for an additional 15 hours (30 in total per week) if both parents, or the sole parent, are working at least 16 hours per week at the minimum wage. See https://www.gov.uk/apply-30-hours-free-tax-free-childcare for further guidance and how to apply.

Funding available for some 2 year olds

Children aged 2 and a half will be charged £5.50 per hour unless they have funding. See below

here is funding available for 2 years olds, if you live in England and get one of the following benefits

  • Income Support
  • income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
  • income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
  • Universal Credit, and your household income is £15,400 a year or less after tax, not including benefit payments
  • child tax credits, and your household income is £16,190 a year or less before tax
  • the guaranteed element of Pension Credit
  • the Working Tax Credit 4-week run on (the payment you get when you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)

2-year-olds can also get free childcare if they:

  • are looked after by a local authority
  • have a statement of special education needs (SEN) or an education, health and care (EHC) plan
  • get Disability Living Allowance
  • Parents work over 16 hours a week. Visit Child care choices for more information
